Our story began at the legendary El Bait Shop in Des Moines, Iowa on a random Tuesday night. What started with wine and great conversations quickly turned into something special, and after a proper courtship—we made things official in February 2023.

Our life in Des Moines was filled with adventures: traveling near and far, exploring Iowa, taking our dog Cooper everywhere, and even discovering a clever loophole where we lived one floor apart in the same apartment building. Along the way, we decided to move to a new city together, and in September 2024 we made the move to Milwaukee. Wisconsin quickly became home, filled with new friends, volleyball games, mystery dinners, lake days and adopting our cat Lucy.

On September 12, 2025, Connor surprised Grace with the perfect proposal at a picnic overlooking Lake Michigan, followed by a surprise engagement celebration with family and friends. This December, we moved into a new house—feeling incredibly grateful for the life we’ve built together and excited for all that’s still to come.
